Hello All,

I recently bought the pandaboard ES Rev 3 development board. I have few
queries regarding the booting process. Here are the steps I have followed
till now:

1. Got the prebuilt ubuntu binaries package
2. wrote it on a SD card(32 GB 80mb/s) in Ubuntu environment
3. plugged in the sd card in the slot provided in the board
4. attached HDMI to dvi-d adapter for monitor
5. attached usb mouse
6. plugged in the 5V power supply

The status2 LED is glowing properly but I am not getting any output on the
monitor screen. I am assuming the boot process is not happening.
Do I absolutely need to attach the serial to usb adapter to another machine
to configure the board? am I missing something here?
please help

Yes you should debug further by uart and check whether boot loader or
kernel has any issue.
